Enjoy Christ, D.S.

I was raised in a Chinese Buddhist family. About four years ago I went to New Jersey to study, and got saved after being contacted by the local church there. When I was still attending the church meetings as an unbeliever, I was attracted by how the believers there testified of God into whom they believed and whom they had received into their hearts. Even before I was saved I tried my best to search all the Scriptures in the Bible, hoping to know this wonderful and mysterious God. A lot of my spare time in N. J. was used to read the Bible. My motive at that time was not theology or to become a preacher. I just wanted the God I believed to be real to me. After two years of school I heard that there was a Bible Training in Anaheim, CA. The believers in the churches all said that this is the best place I could be if I wanted to know the Lord and understand the Bible. Therefore, without much hesitation I came to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim and began soak in the vast riches of Christ.

This Bible training emphasized five aspects of Christian living-life, truth, gospel, service, and character. I not only learned the truth in the Bible and acquired the skill to preach the gospel, but every day I got a chance to go to a college campus to bring Christ to people. Every morning I spent half an hour to learn to come forward to the Lord to have a personal and intimate fellowship with Him, enjoying His love toward me. After that, I had two classes of truth to help me to know Christ'unsearchable riches (Ephesians 3:8). Every day was just like an adventure in getting to know and experience the Triune God. I didn't really know how much Christ had done for me on the cross until I came here. One night during a ministry meeting while the trainers were sharing about Christ's redemption. I was so touched to see his giving up Himself on my behalf. I didn't do anything. I was even one of His enemies. But He went to the cross to die for me. He appeased the situation between God and me and even reconciled me to God, making me one with God, enabling me to enjoy God as my portion forever (1 Corinthians 6:17). Every day in the Training I just learn to enjoy Him as the all-inclusive Christ, the Great I AM (John 8:24,58). Whatever I need, He is. Sometimes I was so tired and didn't have confidence that I could wake up at 6:00 o'clock to go to my classes. I prayed to Him, asking Him to be my real alarm the next morning. He was always faithful to get me up.

In this training, I learned that our God is eagerly waiting for me to turn to Him, to have a conversation with Him. He doesn't want me to just get on my knees and worship Him. What He is seeking after today is my enjoyment of Him. In everything, big or small, He just wants me to believe that He is my Lord, my God. He wants to do everything for me.
